Twist Pile Carpets
Twist pile carpets are made from heat set twisted cut piles and comes in either a plain or heathered appearance. The yarns are more tightly twisted than other cut piles and are therefore less likely to show indentations from furniture of footfall. Twist pile is a very popular choice due to its textured feel and practical implementation.
Durable, Practical, and Hard Wearing
Highly durable, twist pile carpets are popular in areas of heavy wear such as hallways, stairs and living rooms, with heathered twist pile carpets the most effective at disguising marks. The heathered twist pile is created by mixing different coloured yarns to give a multi coloured effect, hence why it is better for high footfall areas.
Twist pile carpets are usually created with either a wool mix or polypropylene which are both naturally hard wearing and, in the case of polypropylene very resistant to colour fade. A great choice of carpet for those looking for a combination of great looks and increased longevity!
